Freedom of Information Act

The Freedom of Information Act gives a general right of access to all types of recorded information held by public authorities, sets out exemptions from that right and places a number of obligations on public authorities. Information about the Act is available from the Information Commissionerís Office at www.ico.gov.uk/

Publication Scheme

The Act requires every public authority to adopt and maintain a generic model publication scheme which should be adopted and operated by all public authorities from 1 January 2009. Warnham Parish Council adopted an updated generic model publication scheme at their Council Meeting on 26th June 2018. It is intended to provide everyone interested in the Council with a comprehensive guide to the information that the Council will automatically or routinely publish or otherwise makes available to the public.

We aim to ensure that a significant amount of information is available without the need for a specific request, and therefore minimise inconvenience and cost to the public. Most of the information is available here on our website. In addition, where possible or practicable we make information available on the parish notice boards located throughout the parish.
