Hollands Way Playground Revamp

The Parish Council are hoping to revamp the Hollands Way Playground next to the Village Hall. A working group has been set up to help take the project forward and is made up of parents, residents and parish councillors. The working group have chosen a design by Eibe to take forward and the next task is to share the design with its future users.

This is such an important space for children to play and socialise and the working group wants to be sure that what is provided, is exactly what the village needs and wants.

What is proposed?

The proposed design will replace the current multiplay, baby springers, toddler slide and spinner and includes: a bespoke multiplay unit with multiple climbing apparatus and unique broad slide, a new toddler play unit with steps, slide and lookout platforms, bouncy lily pads, stand-up see-saw, trim trail, pick-up-sticks climbing frame and several other items. The toddler swings will also be refurbished. The cableway, aerial rotating swing and the swings, will remain as they are, but the fence between the two areas will be removed to provide a more inclusive playspace for the range of ages.

How will it be funded?

The Parish Council are planning for the project to be funded through various sources including Section 106 money from housing developments around the parish, Parish Council reserves, grant funding and through local fundraising too. The funding of the project will dictate when it is likely to go ahead, but we will keep you up to date on when this is likely to be, through this web page.

The design

Eibe have produced this fantastic design that is based around Warnham's historical deer park and has a rustic and rural theme. We would be very grateful if you could take the time to look at the designs and let us know any comments or thoughts you have. Any suggestions for additional items of play equipment or picnic benches, or other seating are welcome too.

The full design can be viewed here.
