18th September – Tree works on the Village Green
Tree works are taking place on the Village Green to fell some ash trees that have been deemed unsafe due to Ash Dieback Disease. The Parish Council is currently looking into a future planting plan to ensure that these trees are replaced as they are so important for our local wildlife and the character of The Green.
16th September – Work on the new Warnham to Horsham cycle path begins
Work on the new Warnham to Horsham cycle path has begun and the work is anticipated to take 4-6 weeks depending on the weather. It will be necessary for Footpath 1578 to be closed in the interests of public safety whilst the work is in progress. Footpath 1577 will remain open on its old route until the new path is ready for use, at which time it will be closed. Walkers should however take care to avoid the works especially on the corner at the junction of the two paths where vehicles may manoeuvre.
The Parish Council has been working with the County Council and Warnham Park Estate to progress this project for many years and is pleased that it is finally being completed. The new route will have an all-weather surface made from compacted and rolled Limestone, this will make the route much more accessible for walkers, cyclists and horse riders during the winter months.
A plan of the works can be found here: Cycle path works map.

4th August – The Hollands Way Playground is now OPEN!
The Hollands Way Playground is now OPEN! We hope you enjoy the new equipment, which we think has really improved the playground. Please scroll down to see photos of the new equipment and a short video can be seen on our Facebook Page. The playground, village green swings and the cricket field gym equipment have been safety inspected. However, we cannot clean all of our play equipment once they are back in use to ensure that they are covid -free and so will be asking parents and carers to take reasonable precautions. There is signage up at each site advising you to socially distance, sanitise your hands regularly and not to use the equipment if you have any symptoms of Coronavirus.
